2016 Joshua Nkomo Scholarships

Overview: The Joshua Nkomo Scholarship Fund [JNSF] was established in 2005, as a scholarship fund focused on the identification and development of academic talent in Zimbabwe. The vision of the Fund is to be the best scholarship fund for sponsoring Zimbabwean students who demonstrate high academic excellence and responsive community leadership. Students on the Joshua Nkomo Scholarship program are offered full scholarship they are equipped with leadership skills and are provided career guidance. The main objective of JNSF is to develop a cadre of highly responsive leaders that will impact various communities and individuals within them by engaging them in various community development activities. Ultimately, the expectation is to create community value through the generation of a critical mass of highly engaged leaders who will occupy various key strategic positions from which they can drive responsible change in society.

Study Level: O Levels/Bachelor

Area of Study: Lower Six(Advanced Level)/Any University Degree

Scholarship Value: full tuition fees, monthly allowance, accommodation expenses.

Requirements: Applicants must meet the following requirements.

Lower 6 Scholarships: Minimum seven (7) Grade A passes at “O” level;
Evidence of community building activity, and the highest degree of personal integrity
University Scholarships: Minimum ten (10) “A” level points if the applicant is female and twelve (12) if the applicant is male
Applicants must be ex- “A” level students going into their first year of study at University.
The Scholarship does not cover those who are already at University at the time of applying.
Evidence of community building activity, and the highest degree of personal integrity.

How to Apply: Applicants must obtain the application form their Higherlife Foundation Offices or Econet Wireless Shops in their province and the completed application form should be accompanied by certified copies of:
Academic Certificates.
Birth Certificate.
National ID.
